H2O Innovation is looking for a Lab Technician (water treatment, reverse osmosis membranes, ultrafiltration/microfiltration) who can work independently, demonstrate strong organizational skills, effectively manages multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and consistently maintains a professional and positive attitude toward team members. The Lab Technician will hold a full-time position at H2O Innovation Specialty Chemicals and Services division, located in Vista, CA.

The Day-to-Day
- Perform membrane (RO/NF, MF/UF) and filter dissections;
- Collect and analyse samples of membrane and foulants to identify chemical composition;
- Conduct various tests to evaluate membrane integrity and performance on lab-scale and full-scale membrane systems;
- Maintain database for sample reception and services completed;
- Box and palletize membrane elements for shipping;
- Perform cleaning studies to determine the efficacy of various cleaning solutions, salt/chemical solution mixing, and water analysis in a wet lab setting;
- Assist in writing and presenting technical documents;
- Support in other laboratory functions;
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
The Skills We Are Looking for
- Follow SOPs and safety guidelines
- Minimum of associate’s degree in chemistry, engineering, or similar is required
- Previous water/wet laboratory or chemical handling related experience (1-2 years) required
- Excellent hands-on skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Able to regularly lift up to 50lbs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data obtained from FTIR, SEM, EDX, and XPS techniques (preferred)
- Basic understanding of RO processes and membrane-based water treatment systems (preferred)
- Forklift certification (preferred)
