Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Houston Methodist Sugar Land Job Summary: Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgeon with 3-5 years of post-training experience to join our exceptional team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care in the treatment of heart and thoracic diseases, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art facility. Key Responsibilities: Perform a wide range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, and thoracic surgeries. Collaborate with cardiologists, pulmonologists, and other specialists to deliver coordinated, high-quality care. Participate in the development of clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs. Engage in patient education, ensuring clear communication about procedures, risks, and post-operative care. Contribute to the education and mentorship of residents and medical students, if applicable. Maintain an active role in community outreach and promoting Houston Methodist’s mission of unparalleled patient care. Qualifications: Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution. Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Valid Texas medical license (or eligibility to obtain one). 3-5 years of post-fellowship experience in cardiothoracic surgery.
