Bus Monitor

Job Description

Under the direction of the Senior Program Director, the Van/Bus Monitor is responsible for assuring the safe, timely and effective transition from childcare programs to the child’s home. The monitor is responsible for working collaboratively with drivers, family support staff and childcare staff to assure the safe transportation of the children to his or her home. Act as a liaison between Family support, childcare staff and parents to ensure appropriate communication of needs/concerns, etc. Bilingual applicants strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 High school graduate.
 Two years’ experience working with children preferred
 Able to lift 30 pounds
 Must be able to sit down, stand up, walk up/down stairs & bend over during the course
of the day
