Job Details :

2 years of nursing experience required with minimum 1 year of Neuro ICU experience

Patient ratio of 1 : 2 on days, nights, and weekends

Every other weekend requirement (EOW)

4 weekend shifts per month (Saturday / Sunday X2)

May float to ED, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department

Epic charting system experience required

Travel experience required

Required certifications : CA RN License, ACLS, BLS, NIH, TNCC preferred

All certifications must be AHA and in hand at time of submittal

Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing

Care for adults and geriatrics with daily census of 18-22 patients

Manage patients requiring detailed neuro checks including post thrombectomy and TNK patients

Work with post procedural / surgical trauma patients

Experience with specialized equipment including EVD management, ICP monitoring, and massive blood transfusion protocols

Previous charge experience preferred

Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I preferred

Two pre-approved time off requests allowed

This healthcare facility features a 24-bed ICU split between two wings that specializes in Level II Trauma ICU and Neuro / Stroke ICU services. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The ICU team operates in a fast-paced environment with quick patient turnover and excellent team collaboration, focusing on post-surgical trauma patients and complex neurological cases requiring intensive monitoring and care.
