Job Title: Rebar DetailerDepartment: CRPDReports to: Rebar Services ManagerJob Summary The Rebar Detailer is responsible for preparing rebar shop drawings for accurate material field placement for commercial rebar projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Specific goals and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop rebar shop drawings that conform to rebar industry and company standards.
- Ability to read, understand, and critique architectural and structural blueprints leading to the production of field placing drawings and rebar material lists.
- Manage assigned projects and sustain a detailed scheduling system to follow lead times, drive customer service, and maintain an efficiency standard.
- Develop, implement, and communicate time expectancy with customers, sales and management.
- Ability to analyze detailed rebar shop drawings in comparison with estimated contract rebar weight to determine overall contract value.
- Ability to analyze design changes and communicate overall rebar weight impact on a commercial contract project.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers regarding design, scheduling and general project coordination.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of company operations.

Job Requirements - 2 or 4-year degree in engineering/business management or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with Outside Sales and/or location leaders on creating detailed material lists and time completion expectations.
- General knowledge of rebar fabrication and equipment capabilities of each rebar size.
- Ability to read, understand, and critique architectural/structural blueprints leading to the production of take-offs and material lists required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
Working Conditions Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
- Constantly in an office setting using tools for managing scheduling and products.
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Rare ability for non-CDL driving
- Occasional standing and walking.
- Occasional lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching may be required.
