Job Description

KPFF Seattle’s Civil Team designs sites that enable land to be developed for commercial, residential, institutional, and recreational purposes. We also design critical public and private infrastructure systems that support the built and natural environments, including district energy, regional storm drainage facilities, utility grids, and trails. We support projects ranging from feasibility evaluations and master planning to design, permitting, and construction. Our group works in close collaboration with owners, architects, landscape architects, and other engineering disciplines to build a more sustainable, resilient, and thriving community.

Located in downtown Seattle, our Civil Engineering team is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineering Designer. This position will provide the opportunity for you to dive headfirst into real-world projects from day one. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the design and development of civil infrastructure across the Pacific Northwest and beyond; as well as :

• Contribute to the planning, design, permitting, and refinement of land development and infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
• Gain hands-on experience while learning directly from licensed professional engineers.
• Apply core engineering principles and advanced mathematical techniques to tackle real-world challenges.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Build expertise in navigating federal, state, and local regulations, while aligning with KPFF’s and our clients’ standards and practices.
• Join client meetings and site visits to gain exposure to project development and stakeholder engagement.
• Participate in KPFF’s Forefront program, our commitment to mentorship, lifelong learning, and career development.

Compensation :

The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is $80,200 - $90,000 annually .
