Nurse Practitioner

Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Nurse Practitioner for their Chico, CA location.

Responsibilities:

• The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse who possesses additional clinical and didactic education to function at an advanced level of nursing practice.
• They will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis, psychosocial assessment and management of health-illness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients, families, students, and nursing staff.
• The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of Client and serves as a role model to other employees.
• This position is responsible for age-related, physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of the following patient populations: Pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Family Nurse Practitioner program or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program. (New graduates may be considered with prior experience in pediatrics and/or NICU)
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Acute care pediatric and or NICU experience
• Experience with intubation and placing emergency umbilical lines
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the California Board of Registered Nursing
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing (within 3 months of hire)
• Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application (within 3 months of hire)
• Meets Centers for Medical & Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare
• Current AHA-HCP CPR recognition
• Credentialed through the Client Staff office and Finance Office
• NRP recognition within 6 months of hire
• PALS recognition within 6 months of hire
• National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a PNP (Pediatric) specialty
• Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Must have the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information and problem solve.
• Behavior should be reflective of Client core values.
• Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Minimum Years of Experience: Less than 1 year
