This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
PM Shift, every other weekend required, no on-call required, holidays required if onboarding before Christmas.
Job Description
The Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to pediatric patients in an emergency setting. The RN must possess competent knowledge of stages of growth and development, delivering appropriate care tailored to each patient's needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and systematic patient assessments, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
- Demonstrate proficient clinical skills in delivering direct patient care.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation in accordance with guidelines.
- Exhibit professionalism and adhere to policies, identifying areas for growth.
- Respond courteously and professionally to patients, families, and co-workers.
- Ensure patient safety by following established protocols and utilizing proper techniques.
- Individualize care based on patient conditions and surgical procedures.
- Enhance patient understanding of procedures through education and engagement.
- Evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders for appropriateness and completeness.
