The Job
You will be handling a mixed caseload of pre-litigation and litigation personal injury cases. There will also be a mix of working on cases that you are responsible for as well as assisting other attorneys with discrete issues on other cases.
This position will generally take up 40 hours per week with some small exceptions throughout the year. It will likely take somewhat more time than that to get up to speed on the cases. But once you are up and running, that is the expectation outside of work crunches before trials and other deadlines.
Hybrid work is the norm at our firm. We have case review meetings on Mondays where everyone is in the office. After that it is a mix of in office and work from home. Having said that, we do expect candidates to have an interest in working in Northern Colorado. We've tried to hire Denver attorneys in the past and have them commute a couple of days a week. It hasn't been a long-term success for us, so we're not planning to do that again. We might make an exception for an ideal candidate, but we'd prefer to hire someone who is based in or near Northern Colorado or who is interested in moving into the area.
While this job posting is for a relatively junior associate, we are open to discussions with more experienced attorneys if they believe it would be a good fit. If you are interested, please email us directly and let us know what you are looking for and have to offer.
Compensation
The base salary for this position will be $95k-$125k based on experience. For experienced candidates who are capable of taking on primary responsibility for a caseload immediately, we also offer a commission structure based on collected fees after certain benchmarks are reached that ranges from 5% to 40% depending on case responsibility, previously collected fees, and case origination.
