Job Summary :

Sorts, prices, and prepares donated accessories-jewelry, purses, wallets, backpacks, belts, hats etc. for placement in the store.

Essential Functions :

  • Inspects donated accessories items for overall quality and determines disposition of items based on store manager's direction.
  • Places items in appropriate locations for pricing and / or distribution.
  • Prepares accessory items (belts, purses, wallets, jewelry, backpacks etc.) for the store according to the quality and pricing standards.
  • Uses pricing machine, adhesive price tags and tagging gun to price items in accordance with store standards and Store Manager's direction.
  • Meets or exceeds goals and standards of production and quality.
  • Accomplishes assigned cleaning routine.
  • Assists in the training of workers and consumers in cooperation with the Workforce Development Department staff.

Education and / or Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Able to stand for two hours at a time over a period spanning up to eight hours.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment :
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach, and lift up to 40 pounds, walking or standing to a significant degree, and be able to move large boxes, furniture, and other heavy items.
