Adjunct Instructor English (Fall 2024) (multiple positions)

Position Overview

The Department of English at Marquette University invites applications for adjunct instructors in first-year writing for Fall 2024. Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will teach 1-2 courses this fall of our innovative Foundations in Rhetoric course. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the courses, including course and syllabus preparation and grading exams and papers. Must maintain a minimum of three office hours per week.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong commitment to teaching first-year writing, particularly with an anti-racist focus.

Knowledge of effective and inclusive teaching techniques and strategies. Department English
