Key Account Manager

The role of Key Account Manager is to become an Area Manager within the next two years. The primary responsibility is to create value for the assigned customers through the technical service provided, identifying new product opportunities, and selling to existing customers. The focus is to maintain revenue, price capture, and improve gross profit.

The job requires considerable knowledge of the field, complete acquaintance with the general aspects and technical phases of the job, and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. Independently performs non-routine and moderately complex assignments, researching, processing, and analyzing data, and may develop recommendations. Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data. May provide leadership, direction, to lower level employees. In technical or production positions, may determine methods, operations, sequences; develops and / or modifies products and equipment to requirements.

The role impacts the work of others and potentially, if not caught, at section level. Contributes to and supports the completion of major organization activity. Erroneous work would have negative impact.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead daily management of the safety, quality, delivery, and inventory of applications at a large key customer in Dallas, TX
  • Support and perform standard work as required to ensure safe and effective treatment programs, generate weekly and monthly reports, maintain inventory, order materials, equipment uptime
  • Perform data analysis on program performance
  • Assist with customer technical issues, bring issues to the customers attention and work with area and district managers to put together a plan for corrective action
  • Build strong customer relationships
  • Pursue growth and swap opportunities to maximize customer value
  • Participate in technical training opportunities for advancement of skills and knowledge

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Chemical and Paper strongly preferred)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills
  • Ability to build client relationships easily
  • Analytical ability and great problem-solving skills
  • Presentation skills and ability to convey product value
  • High-level organizational skills for maintaining sales of complex product portfolio
  • Self-confidence to support persuasion and sales efforts
  • Must have a valid Drivers License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Travel to our customer paper mill sites

    The expected compensation range for this position is between $83,500.00 and $139,100.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
