About the Role

Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Denver, is looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to take ownership of their accounts receivable and billing processes. As a Billing Specialist, you'll handle full-cycle billing and AR functions-from generating invoices and reconciling accounts to collaborating with customers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities of the Billing Specialist

Generate, review, and process invoices for manufacturing orders, shipments, and service contracts.

Ensure accurate and timely billing in compliance with company policies and customer agreements.

Verify billing details by reviewing purchase orders, contracts, and shipping records.

Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue balances, and support collections efforts.

Maintain up-to-date customer account information and billing records.

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies by working with customers and cross-functional teams.

Prepare monthly statements, AR aging reports, and collection updates for management.

Support month-end close with account reconciliations and reporting.

Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices, payment terms, and account status.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and industry regulations.

Billing Specialist Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a Billing Specialist, AR Specialist, or in a similar role-manufacturing industry preferred.

Solid understanding of accounts receivable, billing processes, and collections.

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer-focused approach.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
