Waste Water Operator

SHIFT HOURS : 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 00 PM, MONDAY-FRIDAY

PAY : $18.20 AN HOUR

PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Primarily responsible for ensuring quality control of biological waste water system through monitoring to ensure compliance with State EPD regulatory requirements. Performs preventative and routine maintenance on systems. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :

• Under minimal supervision, monitor mechanical waste water system equipment such as pumps, motors, electrical components, etc; perform routine / preventative maintenance such as adjusting belts, replacing belts, changing oil in pumps to ensure optimal working condition
• Measure and monitor waste water chemicals; report variances to appropriate personnel
• Operate pumps, dewatering equipment (tanker), compressors and chemical feed equipment
• Maintain housekeeping tasks for work area tools, equipment, facilities and grounds
• Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned.
