Travel MedSurg Hematology / Oncology RN - $1,984 per week

Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Hematology / Oncology for a travel nursing job in Jackson, Mississippi. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Hematology / Oncology Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 08 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Responsibilities Provide care on a 32-bed hematology / oncology Med-Surg unit with typical ratios of 1 : 5 (up to 1 : 6 depending on acuity). Care for hem / onc, high-acuity, and post-surgical patients; manage lines and chest tubes; administer chemotherapy (training provided). Titrate drips including heparin; initiate amiodarone prior to transfer to cardiac unit. Monitor patients with unit tele capability; respond to tele alerts from the central monitor station. Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, nurse managers, and educators; charge nurse may take a light assignment or full load if needed. Work with nurse aides on all units and coordinate with RT for CPAP / BiPAP support; high flow available on specific units (2N). Work 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a); fill scheduling gaps as needed; block scheduling considered as availability allows; weekenders optional. Work every other weekend or two weekends per month; rotate holidays with core staff. Float between all Med-Surg units within skillset; higher-acuity assignments reserved for core staff. Follow professional dress code : solid-colored scrubs. Complete orientation : first-day paperwork, logins, unit tour, scheduling review; plus two additional shifts with a preceptor.
