Overview

The Denver, Colorado office is currently seeking a self-motivated thinker who is intelligent, assertive, and determined, with a desire for a dynamic career in commercial real estate. Said individual will partner with a team of brokers and staff. The candidate should possess the attitude and skills necessary to become a successful commercial real estate sales representative. These attributes include being sales-oriented, dedicated, ethical, highly energetic, able to work under pressure, and possessing strong financial and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

The Associate will report to the Market Leader, as well as a senior sales representative(s) and will aid the sales representative(s) in various capacities.

On the job training focuses heavily on business development skills. Our sales platform includes email, social media, heavy telephone prospecting, in-person canvassing the Denver area and updating our proprietary database. The Associate will be involved in cold calling, networking and prospecting for new business under the direction of the mentor. As part of Avison Young’s responsibility to market properties either for lease or for sale, the Associate will be active in collaborating in the preparation of Particulars of Sale/Lease/Sublease brochure and pamphlet design and organizing various advertising campaigns.

Other skills gained include negotiation techniques, drafting proposals, contracts and letters of intent, lease analysis and commenting, preparing market surveys and participating in tours of listings. The Associate may become involved with preparing various detailed financial analyses, as well as assessing and reviewing leases, transaction form preparation, building valuations, market trends, tenant rolls, etc. The Associate may have an active role in helping with Avison Young’s expanding CRM system. During the Associate’s training period, he/she should become familiar with all the buildings/properties as appropriate, as well as with the major commercial projects in the Denver Metro area.

The Associate will assist other Avison Young personnel in meeting the Company’s needs as required and only where the Managing Director and senior sales representatives approve such assistance.

• Colorado Real Estate License or in progress
