WORK DESCRIPTION
Austin Energys System Protection Engineering team is seeking a System Analyst III to support data analytics, reporting, automation, process documentation, and engineering operations. This role requires someone who can independently deliver reporting solutions, automate workflows, support SharePoint enhancements, and partner with engineers to manage technical datasets. The ideal candidate must translate engineering concepts into structured, meaningful reports and dashboards, perform data manipulation and automation, and build light application components (SharePoint, Power Automate, Python) needed to support internal workflows. This includes shaping raw engineering data into usable formats, developing reporting frameworks, and creating repeatable processes that enable the team to make data-driven decisions.

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum (Required) :
Years and Skills / Experience
8+ years' Experience as a DataAnalyst, Reports Developer, or Business Systems Analyst.
8+ years' Advanced MS Excel skills including PivotTables, formulas, and (preferred) VBA / macros.
8+ years' Experience with Power BI
8+ years' Maintaining and enhancing SharePoint sites.
8+ years' Experience documenting workflows and processes.
PREFERRED
Years and Skills / Experience
1 year experience with utilityengineering datasets suchas substation, transmission, and distribution systems.
1 year experience Exposure to NERC,ERCOT, FERC, andTexas PUC regulatory environments.
2 years' experience Python for automation, data cleanup, and backend dataaccess
2 years' experience with Power Automate.
WORK HOURS AND LOCATION
Work hours : Monday-Friday 8 : 00AM-5 : 00PM (Hours may be flexible).
This positionis a hybrid position and will requireone (1) day, in officeper week (Monday). The office locationis at the Austin Energy Mueller HQ, 4815 Mueller Blvd., Austin, TX 78723.
