Your Role : Broker (Wholesale Insurance)

As an Underwriter / Broker, you’ll be the driving force behind revenue growth—connecting Retail Agents with national markets and delivering exceptional underwriting solutions through strong carrier relationships.

What You’ll Do

Grow Your Book : Prospect and develop new business through networking and relationship‑building with Retail Agents.

Be the Expert : Develop deep knowledge of high‑risk wholesale insurance solutions across product lines, industries, and risk types.

Deliver Results : Analyze submissions, negotiate competitive pricing, and secure coverage for complex risks.

Lead & Influence : Educate partners on RPS’s full range of solutions and, when assigned, mentor and guide support teams.

Stay Ahead : Monitor market trends and carrier guidelines to ensure profitable growth.

Travel as needed : Engage with clients as required.

What We’re Looking For

Proven business development and relationship management skills.

Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication.

A proactive, goal‑driven mindset with urgency to achieve production targets.

Ability to leverage data and tools to craft comprehensive insurance solutions.

Requirements / About You

Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.

Home state P&C license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Sales experience in wholesale insurance or related field preferred.

Behaviors

Assignments are broad in nature and usually require originality and ingenuity.

Compensation And Benefits

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, previous experience, education, pay market / geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business / practice area, supply / demand, and scheduled hours.
