School Bus Diesel Mechanic Technician

Candidates for the mechanic position should have experience with diesel school buses and passenger vehicle components, aligning with the company's technical needs. We’re looking for immediate on-boarding to fill this role.

• Diesel Mechanic Technician Responsibilities include :
• Diagnosing and repairing issues in diesel C2s and ICs involves a systematic approach that includes understanding the operations of various systems such as hydraulic and air brakes, transmission, and steering.
• Maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
• Diagnose and repair issues on diesel, CNG and electric hybrid engines
• Knowledgeable with diagnostic equipment.
• Troubleshooting equipment using laptop and muti-meter.
• Mechanic technicians are required to provide their own tools.
• Excellent communication and safety skills.
• Ability to pass CORI and SORI background checks.
• Ability to pass pre-employment Federal drug screening, including marijuana.
• Occasional driving responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Qualifications
• At least 21 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States
• ASE Certification
• Basic English
• Converse with the general public
• Understand traffic and highway signs
• Respond to official inquiries
• Make reports and records
• CDL A or B License with air brakes preferred
• Satisfactory driving record with no suspensions or revocations in the last three years.
• Must meet the requirements to attain and maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card with no physical restrictions.
• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred

The right candidate must pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and complete a Healey Bus, Inc CORI and SORI background check with driving history.
