Job Summary
Join a leading financial services company as a Business Analyst supporting Protection New Business and Underwriting teams through platform modernization initiatives. You’ll play a key role in translating complex business needs into actionable system requirements, supporting process optimization, and ensuring high-quality delivery across underwriting technologies. This role requires exceptional analytical, documentation, and collaboration skills within a dynamic, matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between Underwriting and cross-functional teams to align business and technical requirements.
Document business requirements , process flows, and technical specifications.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate business rule configurations.
Analyze end-to-end processes to ensure system connectivity and workflow efficiency .
Collaborate with Product Managers to translate customer and employee needs into prioritized business outcomes.
Maintain awareness of new vendor features and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
Prepare business documentation supporting roadmap alignment and feature prioritization.
Apply change management principles to ensure launch readiness and adoption.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across multiple business domains.
Independently lead complex, divisional, and cross-functional projects requiring strong problem-solving skills.
Required Experience
7+ years of business analysis experience supporting large-scale technical projects.
Proven background in Underwriting systems or related insurance platforms.
Strong understanding of both Waterfall and Agile delivery frameworks.
Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering and documentation for complex systems.
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Technology, or related field).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with life insurance underwriting or financial services environments.
Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
Exposure to customer and user experience (CX / UX) practices.
Ability to think strategically while managing detailed process documentation.
Strong adaptability and stakeholder management skills in changing business conditions.
