• Responsible for the daily operations of the sterile processing department
• Responsible for the supervision of staff assigned to sterile processing
• Coordinates the decontamination cleaning inspection assembly packing and sterilization of instrumentation
• Accountable for maintaining the established standards of quality for the department
• Assist in the development and review of policy and procedures as they apply to sterile processing
• Assist with sterile processing staff education training development and competency
• Prioritize workflow based on the surgical schedule and case volume
• Review sterilization logs andscan documentation into CensiTrack
• Check sterile trays and supplies for integrity and expiration dates
• Act as a liaison between doctors staff and vendors
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the department

Job Requirements

Familiarity of AAMI and AORN Standards and regulatory agency requirements
