The Position
The Technical Product Manager will lead product strategy, development, and lifecycle management of our Veracyte workflows, driving improvements in laboratory operations, order‑to‑cash processes, and analytics capabilities. This role bridges technical and business needs to optimize workflow efficiency, data handoffs, and data integrity. The position supports Veracyte’s broader digital transformation in laboratory diagnostics, analytics, and order‑to‑cash processing.
Location : South San Francisco (hybrid). Remote (US, PST ideal) is also acceptable.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute product vision, roadmap, and backlog prioritizing business value, user needs, and feasibility.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—engineering, lab, data analytics, customer service, and billing—to gather requirements, translate into user stories, and align with the diagnostics ecosystem.Conduct user feedback sessions to identify opportunities for workflow optimization.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, CLIA) and interoperability standards.Design and implement product features that enable efficient workflows between laboratory systems, analytics platforms, and stakeholders.Evaluate and integrate APIs, workflows, and tools for real‑time order processing and result reporting.Define success metrics such as turnaround time and data accuracy.Provide technical guidance on diagnostics‑specific use cases, patient data handling, and result interpretation.Support strategy refinement and policy development in partnership with leadership.Recommend best practices for scalability, security, and user‑centric design.Facilitate training and documentation for internal teams and external partners.Mentor junior product team members and foster cross‑disciplinary collaboration.Serve as Scrum Product Owner for assigned teams, including backlog grooming and daily stand‑up meetings.Who You Are
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field.5+ years of product management experience, focusing on technical products in healthcare or software integration.Preference for experience in healthcare environments optimizing lab, order‑to‑cash, or analytics workflows.Familiarity with Salesforce, LIMS, or bioinformatics pipelines.Strong technical proficiency : APIs, data modeling, cloud services (AWS, GCP), and software development lifecycle.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional projects in a fast‑paced, regulated industry.Salary & Benefits
South San Francisco office : $148,000 - $160,000 annually.
Remote (US) : $135,000 - $145,000 annually.
Base pay plus discretionary bonuses, restricted stock units, and a full benefits package are part of the total compensation. Pay range overall : $135,000–$160,000 .
