Job Description

Purpose

A developer is required to be a highly skilled Oracle Database Developer with strong experience in PL/SQL development and operational database management. This role requires not only technical expertise in Oracle and stored procedures but also the ability to support day-to-day database operations, monitor system performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Essential Functions

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Optimize and refactor existing database code for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and system administrators to understand requirements and deliver robust database solutions.
• Investigate and resolve data-related issues by working closely with other departments.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal standards.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in database development.
• Document database designs, procedures, and processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.

Salary: 100K+ (DOE) /yr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of overall software development experience
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development
• Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and experience with complex stored procedures
• Solid understanding of relational database design, indexing, and performance tuning
• Experience with operational database tasks such as monitoring, backup/recovery, and security
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience in architecting and overseeing the design of highly available systems that are capable of supporting millions of transactions per day
• Experience with enterprise platform software that deals with high concurrency, performance, high availability, scalability, and other quality of services
• Competence in full life-cycle software development and on time delivery with high quality
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, as it relates to application development and infrastructure
• Ability to quickly learn and develop expertise in highly complex existing applications and architectures
• Ability to thrive in a highly productive, customer-oriented environment
• Experience with high volume distributed platform development in a SaaS environment
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Experience with enterprise platform software that deals with high concurrency, performance, high availability, scalability, and other quality of services highly desired
