Job descriptionWe have an immediate need for a locum Gastroenterology Physician to provide gastroenterology services for our veteran population at the VA Outpatient Clinic in Rochester, NY. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in veterans lives while experiencing the beauty of upstate New York.Responsibilities : Provide comprehensive clinical gastroenterology services including the full range of colonoscopy and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) procedures such as : Colonoscopyo Colonoscopy via colostomyo Colonoscopy w / biopsy(ies)o Colonoscopy w / ablation of tumor / polyp / lesiono Colonoscopy w / removal of tumor / polyp / lesion by snare techniqueo Colonoscopy w / out biopsyo Colonoscopy w / submucosalo Colonoscopy control of bleeding Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)o EGD diagnostico EGD w / biopsy(ies)o EGD w / removal of tumor / polyp / lesion by snare techniqueo EGD control of bleedingo EDG esophageal dilation Surgical Procedureso Flexible sigmoidoscopy with biopsy / snare / ablation / control of bleedingo PEG tub replacementProvide consultative services at the patients bedside if the patient is not ambulatory and, in the clinic, setting if the patient is able to report to the outpatient clinic.BC / BE : Must have completed a residency in Internal Medicine and be Board Certified / Board Eligible Internal Medicine with a Subspecialty in Gastroenterology Physician Services by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.Credentialling and onboarding takes approximately 4-6 weeks.Hours & Schedule : Standard Administrative Hours : Monday through Friday 7 : 30am 4 : 00pm (excluding federal holidays).
