We’re hiring an Occupational Therapist (Hand Therapist) to provide specialized outpatient hand therapy services. This role focuses on treating complex upper extremity conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and injury recovery while delivering patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and treat patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals
- Fabricate and fit custom orthoses and splints as needed
- Provide post-operative care, injury rehabilitation, strengthening, and wound care
- Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve functional outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and clinical staff
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
Requirements
Licensed Occupational Therapist in CaliforniaDegree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programExperience in hand therapy or upper extremity rehabilitation requiredCHT certification preferred (or willingness to work toward certification)Strong clinical reasoning, manual therapy, and splinting skillsExcellent patient communication and documentation abilitiesBenefits
