Position Summary The Customer Service Representative / Dispatch position is responsible for providing customer service, placing new phone orders, and changing existing orders for ready-mix customers. Requirements
Answer up to potentially 100+ phone calls and place new ordersCall customers as needed for dispatchersResponsible for total customer satisfactionSpeak to our customers in a positive and friendly mannerAnswer customer’s questions on concrete productsLearn to type tickets to Ensure timely deliveryLearn to monitor jobs : determine if delivery rates are correct; if jobs can be started earlier, or where there are delays on PM jobsInform shop of trucks with mechanical problemsInform maintenance of plant problemsAssist Drivers in finding job sitesGet assistance to Drivers in emergenciesInform Customer Representatives of problems on jobs that need their expertise and / or assistanceWash out Drivers as early as possibleLearn to take orders for current day and / or future delivery as neededLearn to make moves or changes in orders for customersOther duties as requiredShift : 10 hour day schedule typically 7am to 5pm M- F, rotating Saturday schedule (every 5th Saturday) Minimum Education and Experience
High school degree or equivalent requiredExperience in the ready mix concrete industry and a strong understanding of concrete, ad mixtures, and aggregate preferredCOMMAND data dispatch system experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
