[job_card.job_description]Loading and unloading of materials and containers Stacking and arranging material Stocking and storing containers Records verifies and maintains all necessary paperwork to accomplish job assignments Packages straps and seals as needed and assigned Ships receives and stores merchandise / material as required to accomplish job assignment Operates computer systems to input and retrieve data as necessary to accomplish job assignments May operate automated warehouse storage systems in connection with assigned duties such as stocking palletizing and issuing materials May perform inventories of machine and stock May balance monies using basic understanding of vending machine questions as applicable Performs assignments with a high degree of quality and efficiency exercising prescribed safety and security measures Works harmoniously with co-workers representatives of other Departments / Divisions and outside agencies Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of assigned area and equipment Maintains necessary forms and records essential to accomplishing assigned responsibilities Responsible for ensuring no unauthorized operations are performed Responsible for care and protection of assigned material and equipment Responsible for ensuring materials are transported and vehicles are operated in compliance with Department of Transportation requirements and other application governing documentation (i.e. DOE Order Plant Directives / Standards etc.) Responsible for maintaining a knowledge of applicable Federal State Department of Energy (DOE) Corporate and Plant rules regulations Labor Agreements and Plant-wide operating policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned Required to attend and / or successfully complete training classes as determined by the Technical Training Department through General Employee Training (Reference DOE Order 426.2) and Management Participates in worker involvement including input to work planning and methods to identify hazards and controls Understands a workers right to stop work when they feel their own or others personal safety is jeopardized Attends all required safety meetings and suggestions on improvements to the work environment Must be able to perform all duties and functions outlined above Must meet initial employment requirements Must be able to read write and comprehend applicable written and / or oral instructions Must be physically fit to perform job functions as determined by Medical Evaluation All qualifications work history training and education are to be verified by direct contact with former employers and / or documented proof Ability to perform the functions and responsibilities involved will be determined by a comprehensive interview and background evaluation Must have relevant experience operating a Forklift which can be gained from the following sources : Successful completion within the last two (2) years of an accredited f orklift training course that includes classroom instruction and hands-on training pursuant to the requirements set forth in 29 CFR 1910.178 Powered industrial trucks. May be required to possess a valid Texas Commercial Drivers License (CDL) of the appropriate class A B or C and have an acceptable driving record as determined by Management after reviewing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) May be required to demonstrate ability to handle and dock in close quarters heavy duty tractors with 40 foot van-type trailers which may be established by a practical driving demonstration on Plant premises Must successfully complete a Self-Assessment Please note : Self-Assessments are for external applicants only Lifting or carrying (less than 51 pounds (or specify # of pounds 40) Straight pulling or pushing (2hours / day) Reaching above shoulder level Repetitive motion of the wrist / forearm Walking (4 hours / day) Standing (4hours / day) Repeated bending at the wrist Repeated squatting Climbing with legs only (stairs) Climbing with arms and legs (ladders etc.) Operation of motorized vehicle : Includes forklift Normal far vision in at least one eye correctable to 20 / 40 (20 feet) Near vision (must be able to read computer screen manuscript book etc at approximately 13-16 inches from the face) Depth perception (ability to tell how close or far an object is) Good hearing No evidence of current drug or alcohol abuse Ability to use small tools Ability to perform safety-sensitive duties Constant noise (ex : running engines) Excessive heat Excessive cold / chilling Motor fuels Radiation exposure Works on slippery or uneven walking surfaces Works out of doors Ladders or scaffolding Around moving vehicles Prolonged or irregular hours Shift work Machinery with exposed moving parts Explosives Isolated work assignments Meaningful work and unique opportunities to support missions vital to national and global security Top-notch dedicated colleagues Generous pay and benefits with a stable organization

Skills and Minimum Qualifications :
Minimum of one (1) year work experience within the last five (5) years which included assignments involving forklift operation as a significant part of the job or
Education :
High School diploma or (GED) General Education Diploma
DOE 426.2A Requirements :
Personnel entering positions and performing duties identified by management as falling under the requirements of DOE O 426.2 must meet certain minimum education and experience requirements as provided in the addition the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2 (i.e. High School diploma or a DOE O 426.2 alternative). DOE 426.2 experience requirements can be satisfied following the interim newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. (Ref. DOE O 426.2)

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Requires Human Reliability Program (HRP) certification. If the successful candidate is not currently certified in the HRP the certification process will be initiated upon assumption of the position. If the successful candidate is currently certified in the HRP a review for HRP certification in the appropriate category will be performed by the hiring manager and the HRP Management Official and the certification process in the appropriate category will be initiated upon assumption of the position.
