ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Schedule / Hours :

Every Sunday 9 : 00 AM - 12 : 30 PM and during special events throughout the year, usually in the evenings (4-5 hours per week)

This position is responsible for :

Provides care for infants and toddlers in a nursery; changes babies' diapers and clothes and ensures their personal hygiene and safety; feeds and cleans babies; comforts and plays with babies.

Key responsibilities :

  • Monitors all baby's behavior and activities in a constant manner ensuring their health and safety at all times.
  • Changes babies diapers and ensures babies are clean before applying a fresh diaper.
  • Changes baby's clothes as needed to ensure their comfort and personal hygiene.
  • Teaches babies basic learning skills.
  • Reads stories and sings to babies.
  • Ensures the nursery is maintained in a safe and clean manner at all times.
  • Prepares babies' food and feeds babies in accordance with diet established by the parents.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
  • Ability to observe children and ensure their safety.
  • Ability to lift, hold, and carry infants and toddlers on a continuous basis weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Work is performed in a normal childcare environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

    • WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required, AND
  • six months experience caring for babies in a nursery environment, OR
  • any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
