Position : Service Center Support Department : Service Center
Status : NON -EXEMPT
Reports To : Customer Service Manager
Position Summary : The purpose of this position is to work in the mailroom – sending and receiving and provide additional support to the organization.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Ø Open & Scan mail for all departments
Ø Route mail within various systems (ie. Claims System & Image Right)
Ø Prepare outgoing mail each day
Ø Handle FedEx or UPS requests
Ø Run MVR’s
Ø Complete renewal prep – pull loss runs, APA’s and DNB’s
Ø Train and work with interns on renewal prep and MVR’s
Ø Send out marketing materials as needed
Ø Distribution of Loss Control requests - signs, mailers, LC letters
Ø Handle undeliverable mail
Ø Order office supplies through online vendors
Ø Receptionist duties as necessary
Ø All other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills :
Ø Experience in operating standard mail meter (Pitney Bowes)
Ø Experience in using fedex online
Ø Proficiency in Microsoft software required
Ø Comfortable working in paperless environment
Ø Strong oral and written communication
Ø Ability to work in fast paced and priority changing environment
Ø Ability to work through difficult situations with customers
Physical Requirements :
Ø Ability to communicate effectively by telephone
Ø Ability to sit for extended periods of time and to move intermittently throughout the workday
Ø Ability to lift 25 pounds
