Material Handler

MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF GENERAL LABOR OR MATERIAL HANDLER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Connect Staffing, Inc . is seeking Material Handlers to fill openings at a large warehouse that distributes soil and fertilizer located in Chino and Jurupa Valley, CA

Schedule :   Monday - Friday, 4am to 12 : 30pm, plus overtime

Requirements for Material Handlers :

1 year of Material Handler experience

Ability to work in dusty environments and perform physically demanding labor throughout the shift.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting for extended periods.

Ability to safely operate hand trucks, dollies, hoists, or other material-handling devices.

Willingness to work outdoors or in variable weather conditions.

Must be safety-conscious and able to follow directions accurately.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.

Prior experience in roles such as Warehouse Associate, General Laborer, Production Worker, Machine Operator, Forklift Operator, or Shipping / Receiving Clerk is a big plus!

Responsibilities of the General Labor / Material Handler :

Load, unload, and move materials within the plant or yard using hand trucks, dollies, or hoists.

Follow written or verbal work orders to identify and transport the correct materials.

Open containers and prepare materials using basic hand tools such as crowbars, cutters, or hammers.

Secure and brace loads for safe transport, and move materials to storage or processing areas.

Assist with mixing and shaking operations by ensuring proper flow of organic or chemical materials.

Perform general housekeeping duties, removing scrap material and keeping work areas clean and organized.

Make simple adjustments or minor repairs to equipment as needed using hand tools.

Assemble crates or boxes for products when required.
