Lathe Hand

Description:

Lathe Hand is responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic lathes to produce precision metal parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate should have experience in lathe operations, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with various metals and alloys.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate lathes to produce precision metal parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of parts
• Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance on lathes and other equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment as needed
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating lathes in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and ability to use them effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to maintain a safe work environment
