We’re looking for an experienced, people-centered Director of Social Services to lead our department and help residents and families navigate their care with confidence and support. What You’ll Do:
Oversee all social service operations within the facility
Support residents and families with care planning, transitions, and emotional needs
Lead and mentor the social services team with clarity, empathy, and solid communication
Work closely with nursing, therapy, and administration to ensure smooth coordination
Maintain documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and keep workflows on point
Create a supportive, uplifting environment for residents, families, and staff
What You Bring:
Relevant Social Work degree + state-appropriate licensing/certification
Strong background in long-term care or a healthcare social services setting
Leadership skills that blend professionalism with authenticity
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
Ability to support families with empathy while staying steady and solution-focused
