Compensation

Pay rate : $20 per hour

Benefits available after 90 days of employment

401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service on eligibility dates

Monday – Friday

8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM

Fully onsite in Phoenix, AZ

Position focuses heavily on

home health medical billing

Responsibilities

Perform

home health billing

, collections, and full-cycle accounts receivable functions

Generate invoices, submit claims, apply payments, and manage past-due accounts

Research and resolve denials, short-pays, and payer disputes

Reconcile accounts, resolve unapplied / misapplied payments, and ensure billing accuracy

Work AR aging reports, identify trends, and determine collection priorities

Communicate professionally with patients, payers, operations, and internal teams

Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with billing regulations

Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat

Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complex billing issues

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong understanding of medical billing, AR processes, and accounting fundamentals

Home health billing experience strongly preferred

Experience with EHR / EMR or billing systems such as Waystar, Instamed, Availity, WellSky, etc.

Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs)

Ability to identify discrepancies between invoices and payments

Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Dependable, ethical handling of sensitive financial information

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with insurance billing, denials, and EOBs

Customer service experience in a billing or patient financial services setting

Negotiation skills for working overdue accounts
