Laboratory Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY : Performs routine and specialized assignments and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the procedures in the areas of a clinical laboratory.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education : High School graduate or equivalent; completion of Phlebotomy certification program preferred.

Experience : One (1) - two (2) year experience as a laboratory assistant; phlebotomy skills including pediatric blood draws required .

License(s) / Certification(s) Required : CPR Certification

• Ability to communicate effectively with the patients, health center staff, and the public.
• Ability to precisely follow written and verbal instructions
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to operate a computer / lab information system
• Good oral and written communication skills.
