Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant experience, along with an active OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital Operating Room setting with a 1 : 1 patient ratioHandles neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant cases16 staffed OR beds with an average daily census of 60 casesScheduled for three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7 am to 7 pmOn-call required one night per week and for holidays, with at least one Friday call shiftRequires floating within scope to other areas and to sister facilities within a 75-mile radiusUtilizes Epic EMR systemResponsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a variety of complex surgical casesFirst-time travelers are considered for this assignmentAll staff must be willing to float within the health system and up to 75 miles to other facilities if neededMaximum of 5 days requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no holiday time off grantedModules must be completed during orientation as assignedNo block scheduling is permitted for this contractScrub attire requirements align with hospital policyRequirements
Active OK or compact RN license at the time of applicationMinimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience with neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant casesCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP preferredMust complete and pass EKG / Dysrhythmia competency testing if offeredMust provide a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID and a matching utility bill with address more than 75 miles from the facilityOnly candidates who have not been employed at the facility in the past year are eligibleMust submit two supervisory references for considerationNo license disciplinary actions permittedBenefits
