Aviation Security Officer - Global Elite Group

Dulles International Airport- Dulles, VA

The successful candidate will be :

  • Security minded
  • Able to communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and other airport employees
  • Comfortable working multiple posts with varied duties
  • A keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Responsibilities :

    Security Officers fulfill the following responsibilities with the main priority of ensuring that we maintain compliance with local and federal regulations :

  • Aircraft Access Control : assuring that only authorized personnel enter the aircraft while on the ground.
  • Aircraft Ramp Access Control : providing access control & safety oversight while aircraft is on the ground
  • Aircraft Search : meticulously searching all areas of the aircraft according to company, and federal regulations to ensure the safety of travelers' pre-departure.
  • Baggage Security : surveillance of bag room & baggage make up area to ensure no baggage is stolen or pilfered.
  • Catering Security : providing surveillance at the catering kitchen, searching all catering equipment, and ensuring that nothing is tampered with in transit from the facilities to aircraft.
  • Passenger Verification : providing exemplary customer service in airport terminal while making sure that all passengers have valid identification and are authorized to board flights

    • Qualifications

    Qualifications :

  • Ability to obtain an airport badge with customs seal : DHS requires a 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment history. Also, must be able to pass a security threat assessment as administered by the TSA
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • MUST have a valid State Security License
  • Upon hire, must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams
