Accounts Receivable

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer payments. Your duties include reviewing account information, correcting errors, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, proficient with computers and various software, and committed to accuracy.

In 1969, a tired 3-flat in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood caught the eye of Robert Markey. He purchased the empty property, took his first crack at development by renovating the frame walk-up, and sold it two years later as a finished product. Some catch a fever for making films, others for creating music; Markey caught a passion for property development in the late 1960’s that is still alive today.

This passion—taking a neglected building and turning it into livable space that offers pride and reward for both the tenant and community alike—is at the heart of Acorn’s business model and extends to our property management business, which Markey went on to start in 1985. At Acorn, we aim to provide Chicago tenants with a place that they can take pride in and quickly call home.

Today Acorn has a management portfolio of over 100 properties throughout Chicago, including both investor and self-owned properties. We handle apartments, condominiums, commercial and industrial buildings. With each of our properties—in neighborhoods from Rogers Park to Beverly, Logan Square to Lakeview—we seek to provide our clients with an attractive, clean, and secure rental property. Our property managers offer attentive customer service and timely responses, while our maintenance staff is prepared to handle any issue, small or large.
