Position Summary

The position performs preventative maintenance repairs and installation of equipment for various departments within a location.

Principle Accountabilities

• Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at work-site. Works overtime as assigned.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment returns all tools after use to proper storage location and performs routine housekeeping (i.e. : cleaning organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.
• Utilizing a variety of tools repairs and performs preventative maintenance to equipment throughout the plant and building as required by company guidelines. Inspects equipment to ensure it is in good working order; replaces damaged parts of equipment with new parts; orders parts and installs appropriate parts to machinery; welds parts to equipment during repairs or installations as needed. Assists with minor electrical repairs.
• Reads and interprets written manuals or communicates with vendors as needed to ensure equipment is properly maintained or installed.
• Collects and discards worn machine parts; cleans machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents cloths air guns hoses vacuums or other equipment; removes hardened material from machines or machine parts using abrasives power and hand tools sledgehammers or other equipment; measures mixes prepares and tests chemical solutions used to clean or repair machinery and equipment.
