Government Sales Manager – Telecommunications
Location: Portland metro or Seattle metro
This is a field-based, hybrid role. Expect on-site meetings with customers two to three days per week and regular travel throughout Western OR/WA. Office drop-in space is available near Portland and Seattle airports for team collaboration.

As a Telecommunication Business Development Representative, you will be the face of the brand in Oregon and Washington – empowering public-sector organizations with modern infrastructure while shaping the digital future of local communities.
Key Responsibilities
• Own a green-field territory along the I-5 corridor, targeting K-12 districts, higher-ed campuses, libraries, and municipal agencies.
• Hunt for new opportunities – prospecting, qualifying, and guiding deals from first conversation through contract execution, consistently surpassing new-logo revenue goals.
• Design cost-effective dark fiber, lit transport, and internet solutions in partnership with sales engineering; present compelling, data-driven business cases.
• Navigate state, local, and education procurement processes (including E-Rate) to ensure compliant, on-time bids.
• Leverage Salesforce dashboards to maintain a 3-4× pipeline, prioritize high-growth communities, and report accurate forecasts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with construction, operations, and marketing to accelerate buildouts and amplify brand awareness.
• Represent the company at regional conferences and association events, elevating thought leadership in broadband equity.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of quota-carrying success selling telecom, fiber, or network services to public-sector or enterprise customers.
• Demonstrated track record closing six-figure deals within long, consultative sales cycles.
• Working knowledge of E-Rate and other public procurement vehicles.
• Proficiency with a modern CRM (Salesforce preferred) to manage territory plans and funnel health.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 percent throughout Oregon and Washington; valid driver’s license.
• Self-directed hunter mentality balanced with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
