Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Designer to join a rapidly growing Engineering Services firm. This is a fully remote position supporting a variety of industrial and automation projects, with all necessary equipment provided. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in control panel design and layout using AutoCAD Electrical and can work independently while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities -
Design and develop electrical control panels, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical

Create and maintain wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs)

Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to support project execution

Revise and update drawings based on engineering changes and field feedback

Support troubleshooting and design improvements as needed throughout the project lifecycle
Required Qualifications -
Proven experience as an Electrical Controls Designer or similar role

Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical

Experience with industrial control panel design and layout

Solid understanding of electrical components, control systems, and industrial standards

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting automation, manufacturing, or industrial engineering projects

Familiarity with UL, NEC, or other relevant electrical standards

Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
