Indirect Tax Manager

Our international client is looking for an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to help their team in Nashville, Tennessee, on a contract basis. This role involves overseeing indirect tax processes across multiple states with a focus on catching up on a backlog of returns. The position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your tax expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. After two weeks of onsite training in Nashville, the remainder of the project will be eligible to work remotely.

Responsibilities :

• Review and amend tax returns to address a backlog spanning several months.
• Resolve outstanding state tax return collections and ensure timely resolution.
• Complete and file tax returns accurately by the designated deadlines.
• Utilize Avalara tax software to manage transactional tax processes effectively.
• Manage multi-state tax obligations and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
