Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components from various materials, primarily sheet metal. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Laser Operator will ensure that all products meet specifications and quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Operate laser cutting machines to cut materials according to specified dimensions and designs.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laser equipment.

Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure precision.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize cutting processes.

Program laser cutting machines based on production requirements.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Assist in the setup of machining equipment, including milling machines, lathe, and press brake machines as needed.

Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

Bilingual a plus.

Experience

Previous experience in laser cutting or a related field is preferred.

Familiarity with machining processes, including milling machines and lathes.

Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.

Experience operating forklifts is a plus but not required.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Knowledge of programming laser cutting machines is advantageous.
