Nearwater is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Head of Operations to lead and manage the core operations of our complex, global financing business. This individual will be responsible for overseeing a team that handles the issuance, settlement, and movement of large-scale cash and securities, and ensuring operational excellence across a $50 billion liability global portfolio. This is a critical leadership role requiring deep expertise in financial operations, margin movements, and securities settlements. The role is pivotal in supporting scalable growth and transformation within a highly regulated and rapidly evolving financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management :

• Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing operations team responsible for mission-critical cash and liability activities.
• Oversee delivery across core operational functions including trade processing, settlements, treasury operations, client and counterparty servicing, and transaction management.
• Establish clear objectives, performance standards, and accountability for the Operations team.
• Ensure team structure is optimally aligned with the evolving and changing needs of our business lines considering jurisdictional regulations, systems and processes.
• Continuously assess and enhance operational workflows, systems, and processes.
• Build a strong leadership pipeline through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and client-centricity
