Join our dedicated team as a Clinical Nurse in our Critical Care Float Pool, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. In this dynamic position, you will assess, coordinate, and manage the needs of patients throughout their acute care episodes, ensuring a smooth transition to discharge.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care as per company policy and regulations.
- Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
- Continuously assessing and evaluating patients' needs and their responses to care.
- Applying sound nursing judgment to make informed patient care management decisions.
- Providing primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administering medications as ordered, including over-the-counter and prescription medications.
- Collaborating with the nursing team to develop and implement patient-centric Plans of Care.
- Directing and guiding ancillary personnel while upholding high standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree).Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is essential.1-3 years of clinical RN experience is required, with a minimum of 1 year in Telemetry or ICU.A commitment to professional development through continuing education.Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools, with the ability to apply them to improve patient care outcomes.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
