Tax Document Preparation Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Tax Document Preparation Clerk. This role is responsible for receiving, sorting, and preparing Department of Revenue (DOR) mail for high-speed processing. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, handling physical tasks, and operating various high-speed mail equipment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Receive, analyze, and accurately sort incoming DOR mail.
  • Work independently to prep tax returns and related documents for high-speed processing (remove staples, paper clips, sort documents, ensure proper order, etc.).
  • Operate high-speed mail processing equipment such as mail cutters, mail sorters, and ACE extractors.
  • Maintain accuracy, quality, and speed while completing repetitive tasks.

Qualifications

Education Requirement :

  • High School diploma or GED

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, sit, walk, and stand for extended periods. Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
