Some units, such as Critical Care and Emergency , include an added internship component that requires :

3 weeks of didactic and minimum 16 weeks of preceptorship

Guided clinical orientation to ensure up-to-date and comprehensive care knowledge

Shift : Interns will gain experience on both day and night shift before being assigned a permanent shift

Every other weekend requirement

Commitment : This is an hours-based commitment required for the internship program specifically to the unit of hire beginning at the end of completed preceptorship hours
