IT Certified Professional - Senior – TS/SCI Required

HOW AN IT CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL - SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Responsible for the most complex testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities including: power, software, communications devices, lines, modems and terminals.
- Monitors and controls the performance and status of the network resources.
- May function in a lead capacity within the department.
- Provides guidance and direction for less experienced personnel.
- Understands basic Cisco router/switch commands and can program initial network gear setups.
- Must be able to work independently and with other IT teams (networks, systems, cyber, etc.) without supervision.
- Must be able to travel on short notice when required.
- Must understand Desktop system troubleshooting and imaging techniques.
- Conducts hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and design
- Makes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirements
- Provides installation management to include creating list of materials, bills of materials, estimating installation project timelines, determining installation team requirements, successfully executing installation projects, and documenting project status
- Plans, builds, and installs cable patch panels and cable infrastructures
- Installs and terminates all types of standard IT cable and fiber
- Provides equipment rack installation and equipment installations within a variety of locations that includes, but is not limited to, data centers, equipment rooms, communications closets, operations centers, and user workspaces
- Performs installs and terminations for all types of standard IT cable and fiber
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with network infrastructure and/or components
- Recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience
- Required Skillset:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support
- Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software
- Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications
- Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
- Required Certification(s):
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
- IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent
- Required Computing Environment (CE) certification: CCNA or equivalent
- Location: On Customer Site
- Additional:
- Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
- Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
- Travel may be required to support the mission

The likely salary range for this position is $107,962 - $146,066. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
