Job Description : As a food service attendant at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, you’ll be the friendly face that greets patients, families, and staff. This role is about more than prepping food and delivering trays—it’s about creating a warm, welcoming experience that reflects CHOA’s commitment to care and compassion. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve food, beverages, and snacks with accuracy and efficiency. Deliver exceptional customer service—greet every guest with a smile and positive attitude. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety standards. Handle cash and point-of-sale transactions accurately. Represent CHOA’s values by fostering a friendly and professional atmosphere. Cross-Training : Learn and perform retail and food service attendant duties, including stocking, merchandising, and assisting with food service operations.
Screening questions :
Are you comfortable taking a nicotine test along with a standard drug test (they test for cotinine - a metabolite of nicotine which stays in the system much longer than nicotine so they can’t just quit right before)Are you comfortable getting various vaccines for onboarding? They will draw your blood and see what vaccines you don't already have and you will have to get the missing ones (Influenza, Hep B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella)Are you comfortable with taking a Tuberculosis test? - must get blood drawn for thisAre you comfortable with a background check (all time, not just the last couple years)Do you have a reliable vehicle (no Marta, Uber, etc)Do you have any relatives that work for Children's? ( they cannot be related to anyone that works there)Are you comfortable with not wearing any jewelry, long nails, fake eyelashes, or hair extensions?Do you have anything coming up in the next few months that would conflict with starting a new job?Are you comfortable coming onsite for training M-F 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm for the first week?Can you send me two managerial references from your most recent jobs?What shifts are you open to?Everyone will have to report onsite for training the first week from 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm
Shifts :
There is a day shift and an afternoon shift – they have to be open to either shift and be able to work every other weekend.
