Job Summary : As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safety-conscious workplace culture. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, managing workers' compensation processes, establishing and maintaining safety trend databases, ensuring OSHA compliance, and creating emergency action plans.
Responsibilities :
- Safety Program Development : Design, develop, and implement comprehensive safety programs tailored to the unique needs of our organization.
- Workers' Compensation Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for workers' compensation claims, overseeing the entire claims process, and collaborating with injured employees, medical professionals, and insurance providers.
- Safety Trend Analysis : Establish and maintain databases for tracking safety trends and incidents. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement proactive safety measures.
- OSHA Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to OSHA regulations and standards. Keep abreast of any regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
- Emergency Action Plans : Develop and maintain emergency action plans, including evacuation procedures, communication protocols, and coordination with local authorities.
- Training and Education : Provide training and education to employees, supervisors, and contractors on safety procedures, OSHA compliance, and emergency response protocols.
- Incident Reporting : Manage incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes to prevent future occurrences.
- Safety Communication : Collaborate with the safety team to disseminate safety-related information, alerts, and updates to all employees.
- Proactively works to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs.Expertise in workers' compensation management, including claims processing and reporting.Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.Proficiency in data management and analysis, including database creation and maintenance.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Ability to create comprehensive emergency action plans.Commitment to fostering a culture of safety within the organizationEducation and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field preferred.3+ years of Leading a Safety and / or Compliance ProgramCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is a plus.Bilingual in Spanish Highly preferredAbility to travelBenefits Offered :
