This position will be instructing in-person within the McHenry County Correctional Facility, in the Spring 2026 semester. Working schedule is Monday / Wednesdays from 8 : 30am - 10 : 30am and will be a total of four contact hours.

Position Summary

Instruct students in either ABE, ASE, HSE, Bridge, or ICAPS.

• Teach courses as assigned by the College in a county correctional facility
• Develop syllabus using MCC syllabus template
• Cover all material in depth and scope as described in the course syllabus
• Incorporate the ABE / ASE Content Standards into instruction
• Maintain and submit accurate student and course-related paperwork and data needed for College and grant purposes in a timely fashion
• Document and report attendance daily and maintain and submit accurate attendance records weekly
• Actively work to maintain student retention
• Submit grade reports electronically by the required date
• Utilize a variety of teaching styles to satisfy the different learning styles of students
• Responsible for implementing current HSE (Reading and Math), Bridge, and ICAPS curricula
• Comply with grant requirements :

Create and submit a professional development plan annually and provide verification of completion
